Using the GSOT app you can "travel back in time" - viewing objects and figures from the past in todays world.
Thanks to the multimedia guide function, the application will allow you to explore the vast area of the museum. At the condemned points on the map of the guide you will find icons with the 3D sign, where you can select the options of displaying the models in augmented reality.
You can also view the objects in the place where you are now (school, playground, room).
Our application (App only for iPhone) exclusively uses the Surface Scanning method. As illustrated, this method enables dynamic detection and mapping of the environment without the need for predefined markers.
To demonstrate the functionality of our application:
1. Launch the GSOT app.
2. Allow the app access to the camera if prompted.
3. Point the camera at a flat surface, such as a table or floor.
4. The app will automatically begin scanning the surface, and within a few seconds, allow you to place a 3D model at the chosen location.
We recommend using the app in a well-lit area and on surfaces with visible texture for optimal scanning accuracy.
